Hello Andrew,
Just wondering whether the new helicopters due in 09-10 will be Dauphine's or another type. It would be a great shame to not hear this twin engine beauties in the air. They are a part of Melbourne/Victorian history. Cheers. |
Hi Peter,
They will consist of a third N3 Dauphin to replace Dauphin PVA and an EC.135 to replace the Squirrel PVM.
Regards,
Andrew.

I have some more info on the new helicopters.
The new N3 Dauphin will actually replace PVH and will be given the registration PVD. The EC.135T2i will be here in about August with the rego PVE and will be unmarked, have NVG capability, be FLIR-equipped, have air conditioning (yay!) and be able to carry a night sun.
A small note that PVH is the most flown N3 Dauphin in the world. |
when you say unmarked do you mean it wont be painted in the air wing police scheme? also will PVD be painted like PVH or will it be revised and similar to like PVG but in blue
thanks

| No more information is forthcoming at this time. Going on past observations, I'd guess that the new Dauphin will look the same as PVH. |
