20th September, 2008 - Some new photos updated. The new Air Wing contract has been signed. A new N3 Dauphin will be provided and C1 Dauphin PVA will leave the service. The Squirrel PVM will be replaced by a new EC-135.

11th February, 2008 - New reality television show on ABC called Chopper Rescue, follows Queensland helicopter rescue service, starting February 12th at 8:00 PM.

17th November, 2007 - VH-PVG is currently in the paint shop receiving a new red and white HEMS paint scheme.

16th April, 2007 - New website has been launched, new multimedia to follow.

18th January, 2007 - The contracts are closer to being finalised for the supply of new AS365N3 and EC-135 helicopters. PVH will be moved to a backup role and all helicopters except PVG will be NVG-cockpit modified and enabled for single pilot IFR (SPIFR). PVH is in the shop with a 5,400 hour major service almost complete. New website and pictures coming soon-ish.

29th March, 2005 - Dauphin VH-PVK (ex-AIR 492) has been well-received by the Central Queensland Helicopter Rescue Service. A photo can be found here.

25th February, 2005 - Mission report concerning the 2005 Bass Straight lone sailor rescue is now online in the Mission Reports section.

13th July, 2004 - Long time between updates, but there have been some new images in the gallery, including Mike Tavcar's commendation for conspicuous courage.

5th March, 2003 - This web site passes 30,000 hits. Good to see the support and interest.

24th November, 2002 - New videos added: video capture of flying the Microsoft FS2002 Victoria Police helicopter and a full-quality of promotional helicopter video showing the Panther (military Dauphin) and BO-105 doing fast flying.

23rd November, 2002 - The Air Wing have been trialling night vision goggles (NVG). Some new photos have been posted on the site under the Miscellaneous area.

22nd November, 2002 - Sergeant David Key, Senior Constable Darryl Jones and Senior Constable Barry Barclay will receive the Valour Award for actions of extraordinary bravery during a yacht race in 1998. The Valour Award is the highest award for bravery from Victoria Police.

21st November, 2002 - Added a new MPEG video to the Downloads section. The video is of N3 Dauphin PVH performing a fast rope exercise onto a 20-storey building under construction.

16th September, 2002 - Webmaster released a skid-equipped Dauphin for FS2002, painted in red Securite Civile colours. You can find it on this page here.

30th June, 2002 - Added two new videos of Bell 412 "HEMS 3" air ambulance, landing and takeoff. As of 28/06/02 new Dauphines VH-PVG has 482 hours and VH-PVH has 607 hours. PVF and PVK have found no buyers and are being disassembled for storage.

19th May, 2002 - Information on Victoria Police Air Wing patches and how to purchase souvenirs is online - see the new menu option "Patches". New mission report from Senior Constable Darryl Jones regarding the rescue of 1998 yacht crews. Also some new photos of PVA, PVF and PVA.

4th February, 2002 - VH-PVH is currently being painted. It is going to be a more overly blue paint scheme than PVG, including a blue nose.

22nd January, 2002 - VH-PVH, the second N3 Dauphin to join VH-PVG, arrived in Australia via airfreight container on 3rd November. Meanwhile, PVG has replaced the older C-series Dauphin 2 VH-PVA as AIR-495 on police and ambulance networks. This brings the ATC and emergency radio network callsigns inline with each other.
